Name:
Bob Flowers Occupation: Presently majority owner of DataBit Solutions Corp. a computer sales and repair
business and ISP for the Kenton, Hardin County, area. Also a retired
double State Certified Journeyman Tool & Die Machinist and Tool Grinding for 30 years. Number of Years in Federation: Since 1978 26years Most Memorable Federation Experience: Fishing with Kevin VanDamn at Santee Cooper 2003 CitGo Open. Federation’s Strength: The federation is at its best when the board of directors truly represent the membership not their own agendas. Federation’s Weakness: We are at our worst when too few have to do most of the work. The tournament sites are sometimes picked by politics instead of quality of the fisheries and accommodations.
General
Comments: Favorite Fishing Hole: This has changed the last few years as the inland fishing in Ohio has deteriorated to the point that I feel I am contributing to the decline by fishing tournaments on the waters that I have enjoyed over these many years. Presently I would have to say Lake Erie.
Favorite
Brand & Style of Rod: No particular brand, 7ft. pitching sticks. Favorite Brand, Size & Color of Line: Green Trilene for Lake Erie, Clear blue Stren for pitching & flipping. Favorite Lures: Jig & Pig, Spinner baits, and tubs on the big water. Favorite Fishing Technique: Pitching and spinner baiting the shallow junk. Favorite Boat: Ranger Favorite Motor: Mercury Favorite Trolling Motor: Moto Guide Favorite Electronics: Lowrance Biggest Largemouth: 9lb 14 oz I really wanted this fish to weigh 10lbs. She had already spawned. Where: SanTee Cooper, South Carolina Lure Caught On: Black & Blue Jig & pig Biggest Smallmouth: 5lb 7oz Where: Lake Erie Lure Caught On: 4" watermelon Tube Most Memorable Fishing Experience: Fishing a club tournament on Rocky Fork in the worst rain and wind storm imaginable.
