Doug Hanes, a member of the Allen County
Bassmasters Club in Lima, OH, has been diagnosed with advanced stages of
Pancreatic cancer.
Doug started getting sick last October; after several mis-diagnosis and a few
doctors later, blood tests were finally done when he became severely
jaundiced. It was then that other tests were ordered, and the mass on his
pancreas was found in late December, 2008. He started is aggressive
chemotherapy treatments on Thursday, January 22. At this time, surgery for
removal is not an option. The mass is surrounding 2 or 3 of his main arteries
as well as blood vessels.
