Northern Division Achievement Award for Outstanding Overall Junior Chapter.

At its Annual Open Meeting on February 15, the Ohio B.A.S.S. Chapter Federation proudly announced the appointment of Bob Smithson as Ohio FederationYouth Director. A member of Allen County Bassmasters, Bob will assume responsibility for all of the Federation's youth programs, with the exception of the CastingKids program. That is a separate activity. Ohio has been one of the national leaders in youth programs and hopes to continue expanding that role under Bob's leadership. He is currently working to establish an official Junior B.A.S.S. Chapter Federation in Ohio. Other duties include the establishment of new junior chapters and conducting the State Finals for qualifying junior members. He will serve as the leader of the Junior State Team that fishes national competition, and will accompany the state's top two anglers to the Junior National Championship annually.
